Obtaining a post-graduate diploma in Jazz Performance and Composition from Trinity College of Music and awarded the Archers Scholarship in 2004, Jimmy is also an accomplished saxophonist who has toured and performed with Sir Tom Jones, The Pasadena Roof Orchestra, The Commitments and The Syd Lawrence Orchestra.

Described by Jack Massarik, Evening Standard as a “stylistic vocalist with in-person delivery” and “All Heart, All Soul, All Music” by the legendary Mark Murphy, as a singer, Jimmy has released two albums to date: ‘Alltogether’ through Proper Music and ‘All Upon a Lovely Summers’ Day’ through the F-IRE label. “A Jazz cousin of Fairport Convention’s folk-rock classic ‘Liege and lief’” – Jazzwise

Since 2009, Jimmy has performed internationally at private events and concerts in Cyprus, Florence, Greece, Paris, Kuala lumpur, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Jordan and Dubai with his own swing band ‘The Jazz Cannons’, as well as entertaining numerous private and corporate audiences at The Ritz, The Savoy, The Dorchester, Claridges, Soho House, The Groucho Club, and the The Pigalle back in London, recently (2015/16) touring the UK as backing vocalist with ‘Elvis The Ultimate Performance’, and regularly at London’s Jazz clubs, such as Ronnie Scotts and the 606.. For nearly five years, his big band had a monthly residency at the Bulls Head in Barnes, and he continues to guest with the best of the big bands in the country, such as the Syd Lawrence Orchestra and the Len Phillips Big Band.

A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), Jimmy is a strong advocate for music education and is currently the module leader for performance and songwriting on the 2nd year BMus degree course at London Centre of Creative Media.

As session musician and composer, Jimmy has recorded for Carlsberg, Bupa, Aardman films, Mcasso Music, Roger Taylor, Jackie Leven, Tileyard Studios and continues to write and arrange songs with other artistes and producers.
